So the first aim of this blog is to log my progress for my first major event which is our Christmas week away in which I have 5 weeks to get to around 11 stone and generally be healthier, fitter and happier.
How am I going to do this? Well I'm going to have a calorie allowance of 1300 per day and track my food and exercise on MyFitnessPal. I'm going to run three times a week, which I currently do but need to maintain, get at least one Hatha Yoga session in (for mind, body and soul) and a good overall workout is Jillian Michaels Ripped in 30 which I want to do at least three times a week.
When I weighed myself last week I was 11 stone 9.5 pounds, I just know I've put on weight since then but don't want to know...ostrich effect! What I do know is my jeans are too tight and I'm not comfortable. I'm currently a size 14 in most clothes although I'm conscious about what I wear, I'd like to not be like that and be able to just throw on anything.
I'm away tonight and tomorrow which means eating out, drinking and general bad eating although I plan on getting a run in this afternoon before I go and tomorrow I'll be ice skating and walking so that should balance it out a bit.
I'll keep an eye on my drinking tonight and won't drink over the weekend. I'll either have a starter main or main pudding at the restaurant tonight but will try to make a healthy choice and same goes for meals tomorrow.
So my objectives for 14/11/13 - 21/11/13 are:
- Make healthy choices when eating out avoid junk food and high sugar foods
- Cut back on alcohol consumption only drinking 2 nights
- Complete 4 running sessions
- Complete one Hatha Yoga session
- Complete 3 Jillian Michaels workouts
- Maintain a calorie allowance of 1300 per day
Should I achieve all of the above my reward will be:
- A bubble bath with aromatherapy oils and candles
- A step closer to be able to see my toes!
